Keeping Your Skin Hydrated

Keeping Your Skin Hydrated

If you have dehydrated skin then you most likely realize that it does not feel good at all. It can be peeling or feel very itchy. There are a lot of women that even complain about the lines on their face because their skin does not have the hydration that it needs. Are you suffering from these problems? If so you will be happy to know that there are some things you can do in order to help with this and they are not going to be expensive treatments either.

One thing you can do would be to start washing your face with a cleanser that has aloe vera in it. Make sure that you are simply rubbing the cleanser into your skin in a gentle motion. By doing this you will not be continually irritating your skin. If you generally use regular soap on your face then now is the time to stop. This is only going to continually dry your skin out.

Purchase some lavender oil and mix it with baking soda. You need to make sure that this is not to runny or to thick. The purpose is for it to remain on your face when you apply it to the skin. It may take some time for you to get it right but once you do it will be well worth it.

When you finally apply it to your face you are going to want to leave it on your skin for approximately five minutes. Then, remove it with cotton balls, gently rinse your face with water and then pat it dry. Be sure that you are not rubbing your skin when you rinse or dry your face.

Do you often apply a moisturizer to your face? If this is not a habit for you then you should make it one. The moisturizer that you purchase should have vitamin A and E in it. You can also think about purchasing a moisturizer that has honey in it. It has been found that the honey will really help to hydrate your skin. Moisturizers with any of these items can really help your skin hold in the moisture that it needs to look good and feel amazing.

Those that are suffering from really dry skin will want to make sure that they are drinking enough water. You will always be able to hydrate your skin by consuming at least 8 glasses of water each day. Evaluate your daily life. If you are not drinking enough water then you will want to start increasing it. Doing so really does help your skin.

Those women that have tried a number of different solutions for dry skin and have not received any results may want to speak with a dermatologist. There could be an underlying skin condition that they do not know about. It is always best to speak with a professional rather than continually putting things on the skin that could continue to irritate it.
