Parting your Hair According to Your Face Shape

Every season, each designer sends down the runway an army of similarly coiffed models, replicating a certain vision, which for AW15 came down to an array of sleek and flat centre or deep side parts.

Yet every face is unique and calls for a different choice in terms of hair parting. Deviations from the rules and variations of the trends are instrumental to a deeply personal style. Find out which looks are the most flattering to your own face shape and be a stand-out!

Centre Part

At the edgy and trend-setting Libertine AW15 show in NYC, models were sporting stripes of bright colour all along their centre part. Cara Delevingne, Amanda Seyfried and Olivia Palermo are also credited for rocking the cool and zero-volume centre part.

This style has always a 70s feel to it, and a latest interpretation of it was Kate Bosworth’s braided centre part at the hippie-chic Coachella music festival. Guido’s glittering chignon for Dolce & Gabbana featured centre part too. He, along with other hairstylists, suggests that we place a glam headband over it for special occasions. Try this one so that you elongate your round or heart-shaped face, in combination with a longer mane.
