Everything in Your Home Making You Think You’re Hungry

How many times have you felt hungry, despite having your dinner just 30 minutes ago? Chances are you’re not really hungry. There are things around your home that makes you think you want food. It’s time to push past the feelings, and get rid of everything in your home making you think you’re hungry.

You’re Dehydrated

Strangely enough, dehydration is causing you to feel hungry. Being thirsty makes your body react in a similar way, and your brain struggles to tell the difference.

It is up to you to determine the real feeling. If you’ve just eating or you’re coming up to a few hours since you had something to drink, there are high chances you need some water. Have a glass of water and see how you feel afterwards.

You See Food Pop Up on Your Newsfeed

When you check Facebook, what is the first thing you see? So many people are posting photos of their meals that it’s likely that food is one of the first things you see.

It’s natural to start feeling hungry because it’s there. It’s giving your brain something to look forward to, and tells your stomach to get ready for it. Your brain doesn’t realise that it is on a computer screen. Block the posts that have anything to do with food where possible.

Sugary Treats

If you have a lot of sugary treats, you’re going to make yourself feel hungry. The sugar leads to an imbalance in your hormone levels. This then leads to your brain thinking that you need food to help correct that imbalance.

Chances are you’ll reach for the sugary treats again, and that leads to another imbalance. It is time to give up the treats and help get your hormones stable again.

Bad Night’s Sleep

A bad night’s sleep happens for a number of reasons. Whatever reason, it will lead to an issue with hunger. Your body will constantly feel like it needs the fuel to survive for the day, and that fuel has to come from food even if you’re not hungry.

Your body ends up telling your brain that it needs something to keep it going, and you instinctively feed it.

The Alcohol

Alcohol is a killer when it comes to a good diet. It affects the hormone balance, similarly to sugary treats.

The more you drink, the more your hormones are out of sync. Of course, this leads to you really wanting something to eat, and it is never going to be something healthy when you’ve had a few too many.

High Stress Levels

Stress makes it hard to sleep and function during the day. Most of the time, it leads to your brain needing something to help it calm down and food is a comfort.

Your brain tells you that you’re hungry all the time, even if you have just eaten. Of course, you end up eating the sugary treats and that leads to your hormones out of sync. You can see the downward spiral, right?
