Cranberries are quite often used for treating a Urinary Tract Infection but they are another natural option. If you don’t like the sourness of cranberry juice you could try taking cranberry capsules that are available at health food stores.

Oregano Oil has anti-fungal and anti-yeast properties, so taking a couple of capsules daily and continuing to use them for a few weeks after the infection has gone, will help ward off another onset.

As we all know prevention is better than cure, there are some steps that you can follow to limit your chances of the infection recurring. Keeping the balance of pH in the body neutral can make it harder for the yeast to grow, using pH balanced soaps is a good way of doing this. A balanced diet is also important in prevention as is cutting out sugar and alcohol.
