In this day and age, people rely on medicines that come from their doctor. However, sometimes what the doctor prescribes may not be enough to take care of the problem. When prescription medicine does not do its job, people look into alternative medicine like herbs. Herbs can be beneficial to the body especially for women. There some specific herbs every woman should take for their health.

Aloe vera is a natural muscle relaxer. If you have muscle spasms, drinking a combination of aloe vera juice with a little squeeze of lemon and a teaspoon of sugar, can help get rid of those spasming muscles.

If a woman wants to get rid of that water, she does not have to buy a diuretic, but instead have a cup of dandelion tea. Dandelion is an herb that is known for its naturally ability to shed excess water from the body.

Angelica Root:

Also known as Dong Quai, this root Chinese in origin and considered an effective treatment for women’s issues like an irregular menstrual cycle, and PMS symptoms.

The root has a low dose of estrogen in it, and a woman who drinks it in tea form, or a powdered form that can be added to water, can help get her hormones levels balanced out.

Flax seed is known for its ability to protect the heart.

The seed is a good source of Omega-3 fatty acids, which can lower the amount of cholesterol in the body.

Women are twice as likely to develop a migraine then men. Feverfew is known as an herb that is effective to preventing migraines because it will keep the blood vessels in the brain from swelling.

When doctors do not have all the answers, a woman can turn to the natural world for a remedy. Herbs are just one way that the natural world can help fix a problem a woman has that modern medicine does not seem to help.

Whether it is PMS symptoms or getting a stronger immune system, there is a plant out there that can do more for a woman than a prescription drug.
