Quick Fixes for Your Common Relationship Problems

Some problems take a while to work out. It could be due to differing opinions or the situation in general. However, there are some problems that can be fixed within a few minutes. Here are some of them and the things you can do to get your relationships and friendships back on track.

Losing Contact with One Another

If you don’t talk for a prolonged period of time, you will start to drift apart. Make it a habit to just send a quick hello and chat about how life is going once a week.

You then want this to turn into something more, like a regular meet-up or call, but at least the quick note lets your friends know you are thinking about them.

No Longer Having Fun with Friends

As life goes on and you all get bogged down with relationships and work, your friendships can start becoming stale. You used to have so much fun together and now you seem quite boring.

There is a quick fix for this. Arrange a girl’s night every week or month, depending on your schedules. Go back to the way things were in the past. There’s no reason to not have fun. This night needs to be no partners and no children!

No Longer a Fun Relationship

On the other hand, you may find that you have more fun with your friends and not your partner. This is another quick fix. Arrange for a date night for the two of you every week—no children allowed.

If you can’t manage it every week, try every two weeks or so. Do something different and plan something fun, like crazy golf or a night at a roller disco.

Dealing with the Nosy Neighbour

Do you have a neighbour who constantly tries to tell you how to raise your own children? It’s a common problem for some, and you may be at your wits end trying to explain why you do something.

They don’t want to hear that; they want to feel important. Simply thank them and go on your way. If they still don’t get the hint, tell them it’s under control.

The Friend or Family Member Asking for Money

It’s a difficult situation at times. When a friend or family member has lost their job or runs out of money, they may need some financial assistance. If you’re not able to help that way, you run the risk of losing that person completely.

Instead, offer some help in other ways. You could offer to do some babysitting or help with meal times. There are a lot of ways you could help without giving lots of money that you can’t afford.

The Argument

Friends argue. If you can, you want to deal with it as quickly as possible. If you are at fault, don’t let your pride get in the way.

If you’re not at fault, you could try to apologise for something that you may have said that hasn’t helped the argument, or acknowledge that there is some fault of your own—this helps your friend stop being so proud and encourages her to apologise too.
