Once upon a time (i.e. the ’90s) the only teen move a girl watch was the Alicia Silverstone classic, ‘Clueless’ where rich, yet sweet, high school student Cher, tries to boost the popularity of new pupil Tai, played by a young Brittany Murphy. But, things all changed in 2004 when a a little movie called ‘Mean Girls‘ was released, staring Hollywood sweetheart Lindsay Lohan.
In the film Lindsay plays new student Cady, who is soon poached by the popular girls, ‘The Plastics‘ to become their new member. Unfortunately, Cady finds herself falling for the ex-boyfriend of head Plastic, Regina, which results in her receiving the full wrath of a scorned teenage b**ch. It’s catty, funny and oh so satisfying when Cady embraces who she really is at the end.
It is the ten year anniversary of this iconic teen movie this week, so what better way to celebrate it that to celebrate the style of the ‘Plastics’, but given a contemporary twist to fit in with the fashion trends of 2014. You could look “totally fetch”.

Play Board Games With the Family
You’re all in the house together, so use it to your advantage. Have some fun family time with board games. You likely have some of your old favourites that you’ve forgotten about around the house, and some that you’ve never even gotten out of the box yet. If you don’t have any in the house, use the internet to find one or create your own family board game.
Make Some Crafts
Create creative with the craft box. There are a lot of great ideas on the internet, but you could just think about some of the items that you can make and have fun.
You’ll be surprised by the amount of things in your home that can be used for this. Some of the things include plastic cutlery and coloured straws. Use Pinterest if you’re really stuck for ideas.
Watch Your Favourite Movies
Got a movie that you love to watch? Why not put it on while you’re stuck in the house? Maybe you have movies that you haven’t watched yet and have been waiting for a chance to catch them. If you still have an internet connection, you could even stream some movies.
There are plenty of places to watch them for a small amount of money. Grab the duvets, make some hot chocolate and snuggle up with each other on the couch.
Recreate Your Old Photos
Do you have some funny photos in the collection? They could be of your grown up children when they were babies, or even ones that you’ve done that are quite embarrassing
. This is a great chance to recreate them and have a laugh as you’ve all gotten older. Some of them can be tricky if they were out, so choose the ones that were taken in the home. They’ll be great to share with family the next time they’re over.
Try Baking Something New
Get the baking items out and try something new. This can be tricky if you don’t have much in the house, but chances are you have something for at least making cookies or muffins.
Be adventurous and try out odd concoctions. You never know how they’re going to turn out.
Turn the Music Up
Go on and turn that music up—not too loud to annoy your neighbours, of course! Once it’s turned up, get up and dance around. You can have a lot of fun doing this.
Get everyone together and have a dancing competition or put on a show for each other. You’ll be surprised at the moves that you can all do and the fun you’ll have at the same time.

He is known for so many wonderful movies. One of the earliest that most know him for is Titanic, but he went on to do Shutter Island, Inception and The Wolf of Wall Street. It is the latter that he is up for an Oscar for at the moment. With all those big named movies, it seems like he should have already won the award.
He’s Been Nominated 31 Times
When you include every single award show and roles, he’s been nominated a total of 31 times. Want to know how many awards he’s actually won? Just two! One of those was this year’s Grammy Award for The Wolf of Wall Street. He was pipped to the post for the BAFTA, which 12 Days a Slave took instead.

He’s Graceful When He Loses
It seems like the awards mean nothing to him. Whenever you see him lose, he doesn’t look disappointed. He simply smiles to the camera and congratulates the person who won instead. His gracefulness and professionalism makes him deservedly one of the best actors around. Many others start kicking a fuss—anyone remember Kanye West when he lost Best Album?
He Loses Himself In the Roles
He puts himself into every single role he has. His first big movie was What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. The fact that he was a young star opposite the likes of Johnny Depp and Juliette Lewis meant nothing to him. The movie was about a man who was caring for his mentally handicapped younger brother, who was played by DiCaprio. Everyone thought that they had gotten a young handicapped boy to play the character, but it was all just acting.
He Has Some Serious Talent
He’s definitely not just a pretty face. The man definitely has some talent, and you can see that by the variety of roles he has played convincingly. Look at Titanic and then Catch Me If You Can and then Shutter Island and then The Wolf of Wall Street. All are very different, and have some difficult parts to play. DiCaprio did admit that his latest Wolf of Wall Street was one of the most challenging roles he’s played, but he pulled it off perfectly.
His Portrayal of Jordan Belfort
Just watch the movie The Wolf of Wall Street, which is this year’s nomination for him. It’s also worth reading the reviews. While many movies have their slow parts, there is nothing bad to say about DiCaprio’s portrayal of the man or the movie as a whole. It is one that deserves to win and Oscar, and DiCaprio deserves to be the man who takes that home.

A big 500 to 1000 piece puzzle can be put on the kitchen table and everyone in the family can help put it together.
A huge puzzle may seem like a challenge, but it can be a really fun project for everyone, and if all members of the family work together, the puzzle can be done in a matter of hours.
Movie watching:
At least once a week, some families love to have a movie night where a member of the family picks a movie that everyone watches. When the weather is snow and ice, the best way for families to keep from getting bored is to take turns picking different movies to watch.
To make the night even more fun, families can order pizza and just kick back and snuggle up with blankets while watching their favorite movies.
Arts and crafts:
Another indoor fun activity is to sit down and do arts and crafts. This is the best time to make popsicle birdhouses or even sock puppets that can be decorated any way the family wants.
Once the arts and crafts are done then it is time for everyone to put on a puppet show play using a stage made of popsicle sticks or even one just made out of a cut out cardboard box.

Hide and Seek is a game usually played normally by kids, but it can be extra fun when the adults join in the fun.
