Tips to Deal with Hormonal Acne

Any acne is annoying but hormonal acne can happen at any time. It’s more likely to affect women, as our hormones are constantly changing throughout the month. You can deal with it though and prevent it from getting worse. Here are some tips.

Get the Right Diet

Your hormones are linked to your diet. You need to cut out the refined or processed foods and start eating healthy, nutritious meals. Switch the white flour for whole wheat.

Switch the hydrogenated fat for unsaturated options. Get more fruit and vegetables, which are full of all the vitamins and minerals that your body needs.

Throw In Some Good Exercise

Exercise is also excellent for controlling the hormones. You don’t have to do a lot to release the good chemicals from your brain and promote balance in your hormones.

You’ll be surprised by how much better you look once you get into a routine. Remember it does take a routine though to work on your hormonal imbalance that is causing your acne.

Check the Ingredients

When you use skin care products, always check the ingredients. You want to avoid anything that you are allergic to and has been linked to hormonal imbalances.

Not all the products you spend your money on are worthwhile. Look for those formulated for your type of skin to at least try to keep your normal acne under control.

Cleanse Your Face Daily

Use a mild soap to cleanse your face on a daily basis. On a night is the best since the dirt will collect throughout the day.

You don’t need to cleanse on a morning; just splash some lukewarm water on your face to get rid of any oil that has come through your skin overnight.

Change Your Sheets Regularly

Focus on clean sheets and towels. Even after a week, they have collected dirt, oils and bacteria.

All of this gets into your pores, blocking them, causing more acne. Some will also make your hormonal imbalance worse; making your acne worse. It doesn’t take much time to change your sheets and towels.

Keep the Stress to a Minimum

Stress has a direct effect on your hormones. Instead of letting it rule your life, focus on limiting it.

For example, if you can’t do anything about a situation, there’s no point worry about it. Stop thinking about the past and live for the future.

If It Ain’t Broke, Don’t Fix It

Once you find a product that works for your skin or something that keeps your hormones in check, don’t change it!

There is nothing wrong with what you’re doing and your body isn’t going to get used to it, making it less effective! Prevention is good and you’ve found it.
